Its 2:39am here in toronto, i am wrapping up research work and call it a night. After reading your article, i am troubled with trembling concerns for Imoleayo Michael ADEYEUN esp for the legal gaffe most of us fall victim to. There was so much we can learn from his ordeals. Its unfortunate most of us are ignorant of basic rights (1. only asking for a lawyer upon arrest. 2. He failed to visit an hospital immediately upon his release for check up and to document his state of health). These could have helped his case, but as recommended, he will need a better lawyer or he may end up worse than jail. Again I am not surprised at the police & military oppression across Nigeria, a few days ago pro-democracy protesters who went missing in kenya recently turned up dead, floating river Yala, Kenya. I have this argument and perception, our police/military's historical structures were built to oppress us.

What next? Enough of political redundancy! Everyone must get involved in the politics of Nigeria (demanding for constitutional reforms, promoting electorate education, promoting education of human rights, demanding for basic social security) the list goes on. Get Involved in politics and stop praying!

We have a long way to go. Thank you so much David, for always feeding us with the most verified Information.

2023 is already here, I pray the youths like myself will go all out and make that difference.

This country will never get better until we do something. For me the #EndSARS was the biggest statement of how United we can be. We will be faced with loads of challenges, but we must sustain what we've achieved through the #EndSARS and make even a bigger statement come 2023.

Thank you 🙏

Great story. Why I like it? It has guts, real guts. And I like the way you play with form. The people you write about are the real heroes of Nigeria.
