Thank goodness! Every well-meaning Nigerian and legal practitioner must continue to fight for transparency in our judiciary. It is the only way forward.
This is good, especially coming from a Lawyer, and a learned man from the West.
It goes a long way to tell that, inspite of all the blatant lies and divisive tribal plots going on, there are still good lawyers, and good citizens who desire to see things done right.
There are still good, honorable men willing to stand up for the truth. But the omens are so dire... The other day, a Federal High Court judge threw out a suit against the inauguration and called the suit "vexatious and frivolous", and then fined both litigants AND their counsels. A judge did this. What a mockery of laws and the institution of justice.
Thanks to God, atleast not all lawyers are compromised... however cjn and whatsoever needs to do better, this is 21th century and not the stone age as the author ascribed.
This letter to the CJN is very gripping. The PEPT is supposed to be a public hearing and not a secret one, therefore it must be made public. The Nigeria of our dreams is possible.
Highly commendable, we hope the CJN will act accordingly cos it is really unbecoming of the PEPT with their restrictions like the court is now a secret cult, you don't want to be recorded for proceedings that will still be made public, so what do they mean exactly? Cos there is little or no sense at all as they have even refused to give reasons
