I'm particularly impressed that you chose not to edit out 'hyperspiritual' quotes from her. You kept it original and unbiased (so it seems at least) and you fully presented her as a devout woman of faith that she is. Thank you for doing that. I respect that a lot.

As I read this, I remember a song called "Heroes" by Casting Crowns from their 2014 Album, Thrive. A part of the chorus goes like this;

"These are the heroes;

Just ordinary people,

Laying down their lives,

Like angels in disguise..."

Thank you, Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo for choosing to be a hero, and thank you Oladele for sharing her story.

I'm definitely crying my eyes out right now. I find it so difficult to understand how some people can be born into such treacherous conditions while others are born into wealth. I'm grateful for people like Olufunmilayo. May god bless her!

A great writeup! It goes to show we can live tolerably with others regardless of their religion or affiliations, most just choose not to.

It's refreshing to read stories about people like this. It's a constant reminder that good people still exist in the world.

If I stayed in Lagos, I would very much have loved to volunteer.

Thank you for this write-up. It's inspiring to read about positive things happening despite the negatives going on in Nigeria.
